How Long Does Fresh Sushi Grade Tuna From The Supermarket Last?

I ordered some yellowfin tuna and the local market just called to say it is ready for pickup and I am wondering how long it will last. Do I have to get it all eaten in a day? Or do I have a couple or even a few days to get it eaten? I think I read or heard once before that I can’t freeze it but I wanted to have a fun little party tomorrow with some friends over for a homemade sushi and japanese style party.

Can I Cut Sushi Grade Meat From Frozen Fish From The Market?

I want to make sushi rolls, but my local markets don’t have sushi grade fish. I don’t want to order it online, and I don’t want to drive 40 minutes to get fish… Can I cut meat from thawed fish, like salmon or tuna, and use it in sushi?
